| Kayla began riding and
showing at an early age. She came to Willow South at the end of the
summer of 2002 when she was 12. While with us, she acquired her own horse,
a grey OTTB named Deno’s Last Chance. Together, Deno and Kayla successfully
moved from Beginner Novice through Training Level. Pictures of Kayla and
Deno can be seen on the Willow South photo pages 2003-2005. Shortly after
graduating from Willow South, Kayla began training with her new horse,
Captain Arias, in December 2006. At that time Captain, also an OTTB,
had not been in training for almost two years. Kayla worked with
Captain and soon had him back in shape and they quickly progressed from
Beginner Novice to Training Level.
Kayla is currently a working student for Olympian Julie Richards in Newnan, GA where she sets her sights on the upper levels with her fabulous mare, On The Rocks. Kayla attends the University of West Gerogia. |
